**Job Summary:**
Research Specialist in a systems neuroscience lab, focused on decision making and motor control in rodents. Specialist will participate in many aspects of research: handling animals, running experiments, performing surgery, supporting students, etc.
* Train mice in decision-making and motor behavioral paradigms.
* Design novel behavioral paradigms.
* Perform rodent surgeries.
* Collect and analyze data.
* Oversee the management of equipment and supplies.
* Conduct literature reviews, participate in writing reports and manuscripts.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory policies.
* Other duties as needed.
## _Additional Requirements_
**Education, Experience and Certifications:**
* BS/BA Preferred
* One-year relevant research experience preferred
* Strong background in animal behavior preferred
* Strong background in systems neuroscience preferred
* Programming experience preferred
* Experience with rodents preferred
* Experience with optical imaging, electrophysiology and/or computational methods preferred
