Job Description** This is a part-time on call position in the Federal Services Business Unit and the selected candidate will be able to work remotely.

General responsibilities:

Edits a variety of documentation which may include training materials, presentations, project plans, SOPs, white papers, user manuals, guides, communications, and others. May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document. May document engineering processes and specifications. Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for writing and editing, including working with common or custom style guides. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a wide variety of tasks. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Some travel may be required.

Primary Responsibilities:

o Reviews content generated by business analysts, instructional designers, program managers and program leadership to ensure document quality and consistency with program standards.

o Targets audience levels and unifies tone and voice.

o Updates guidance as needed to reflect changing project needs, client requests, or emerging trends.

**Required Skills** Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field of technical writing.
Technical Competencies:
o Excellent Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
o Familiar with Microsoft SharePoint
o Jira or Confluence experience a plus

**Department** Our services in the Defense business unit support all branches of the U.S. military and the intelligence community. Our teams provide a variety of support services related to the maintenance and life cycle sustainment of US Navy, US Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol fielded C5I systems. We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems.
